Nordic countries came out on top again in The United Nations ranking of 156 countries, published in March 2019.
Covering the period 2016-18, it takes into account GDP per capita, life expectancy, social support, freedom to make life choices, generosity, and perception of corruption.
Sweden improved its ranking from place 9 to place 7 compared to last year’s report whilst Finland held on to the top spot. Sweden obtained its highest ranking for perceptions of corruption and scored lowest on social support.
